Yei Independent Baptist Church

Posted on March 21, 2017 at 5:45 AM

Yei Independent Baptist Church in Yei , South Sudan has faced many challenges and has finally proven to displace the believers. Please pray as they are scattered abroad that the grace of God be with them wherever they go.

The Bible college out of this church has also been sidplaced, but many of the student have continued in contact with me and seek where they can continue their studies. We are working to have a church near them as we want the bible college to alway be under a local church.

Maridi, South Sudan missed last semester classes due to insecurity of the roads and not being able to get them the teaching material, but we are planning to get things back going, by flying the material into the 20 students that are their waiting on classes to resume.

Churches being started and strengthen

Posted on March 21, 2017 at 5:20 AM

Since we have been back The Lord has allow us to see souls saved and churches planted. The Lord has allowed us to planted the Gateway of Hope Baptist Church in Jinja town. Out of the Gateway of Hope we are working with Namagera BAPTIST Church about 45 minutes away to help strengthen them in the truth of the Bible. We are getting ready to start Bible class at Gateway of Hope, and our desire is to see men trained for the ministry and more churches start our of Gateway of Hope. We are working with another national that I have worked with in the past to possibly plant a church in Arua Uganda, where Bible class will be conducted for the north part of Uganda, as well as the South Sudanese in refugee camp in that area.

Also in Uganda as part of the South Sudan ministry we are working in two church planets in the Refugee camps. We are seeing young men growing in the faith in these areas. There is much need for more churches in these camps. Both of these churches are currently working to build a building to meet in to get out of the rain. Many of the believers don't even have houses to sleep out of the rain.

Help us pray for these ministries as well as pray how The Lord might use you in these ministries. There is many areas of need medical, educational, building, teaching, soul winning, and many other things.  The Lord can and will use you if you will let him.

Escaping South Sudan

Posted on July 19, 2016 at 2:25 PM

This morning we have been working with the men in South Sudan, on the current situation. On Sunday the congregations of the two churches in Yei were scattered due to the insecurity, and lack of food coming into the country from the borders being closed for several days. Most of the women and children are fearing for their lives, and many of the men have started relocating them to places of more safety. I spoke to Pastor Joshua Longa yesterday and he informed me of his plan to relocate his family to Kajo Keji. This morning I spoke to him and he failed to make it to Kajo Keji due to the roads, so they went to the Kaya border with Uganda and the family crossed into Uganda as refugees. They will be processed and placed into a refugee’s camp. Joshua has returned to Yei where we are planning the evacuation of another family tomorrow. Please be in prayer as they travel these roads for their safety. There is no fuel being sold except on the black market, and it is very expensive. For a year now we have only been able to get funds into the country through a business man in Uganda that has a branch in South Sudan.  Now this business is closed. We have no way at this time to get more funds in to help our people. We seek your prayers as we continue to minister to the needs of the saints. We will be back in Africa in 17 days. We are still in need of a vehicle for Uganda, ours  in South Sudan may not be allowed out of the country and if it is allowed out it can only stay in Uganda for 2 months. We are thankful we have the vehicle in South Sudan at this time that it can be used to help these families.
